Welcome to the PMI PMOSIG
Welcome to the PMI PMOSIG's website. The PMO moves beyond simply directing project and program work. More broadly, the PMOSIG views the PMO as a strategic driver for organizational excellence and seeks to provide products and services that enhance the practices of execution management, organizational governance, and strategic change leadership. As the largest virtual community devoted to the PMO and one of the largest chartered specific interest groups of the Project Management Institute, with over 4,000 members globally, we are uniquely positioned to serve a broad global audience and look forward to providing unparalleled service and value for our members in the areas of execution management, organizational governance, and strategic change leadership as well enabling our members to collaborate, build knowledge, and extend the reach of the PMO within their own organizations and the business community at large.
PMO Symposium 2010
The PMOSIG is also the producer of the largest international symposium on the PMO. PMO Symposium 2010 will be held November 8-10, 2010 in Dallas, Texas, USA and will bring together PMO practitioners for three days of professional development and networking specifically focused on the PMO. This year, PM Solutions and the Project Management Institute’s Program Management Office Specific Interest Group (PMOSIG) have partnered to honor visionary and proven PMOs through the PMO of the Year award program.
Applications are now being accepted for the fifth annual 2010 Project Management Office (PMO) of the Year Award. The PMO of the Year Award recognizes PMOs each year that introduce novel ideas, methods and processes that result in measurable improvements and project management success within their organizations.
Nominations for the 2010 PMO of the Year Award must be made by the director or manager of the PMO being nominated. All corporate and government PMOs are eligible for nomination, and entering the competition requires no fee. The deadline for entries is May 31, 2010. The winner will receive their award at a gala reception at PMO Symposium 2010.
