The PMOSIG has established a unique service offering for its members through a relationship with Forrester Research, a leading provider of industry analysis and solutions. This partnership with Forrester enables the PMOSIG to offer its membership a number of high-value services at no additional cost. The most visible and immediate value to all PMOSIG members is the availability of eight published Forrester reports per year. If purchased individually these reports would cost hundreds of US dollars but are included as part of the PMOSIG membership fee.
With the leadership of the Vice Chair Professional Development, Lindsay Chamberlain, the PMOSIG is also exploring a number of additional value-added services and opportunities for the membership. In the coming months, the PMOSIG will partner with Forrester on a research project exploring tools, processes, and methodologies used by PMOs from start up through stabilization and into maturity as well as from the tactical, managerial, and strategic perspectives. The results of this research, an insight into best practices and creative solutions, will be presented at the PMO Symposium 2009 in Atlanta, GA.
