The PMI Program Management Office Specific Interest Group (PMOSIG) is committed to ensuring your privacy. Any information you provide us will only be used in pursuit of these goals.

 

When accessing our web site, the PMOSIG will learn certain information about you during your visit. How we will handle your information and what we learn about you depends upon what you do when visiting our site. If you visit our site to read or download information on our pages, we collect and store only the following information about you: 1) The domain from which you access the Internet and the internet protocol (IP) address of the computer you are using; 2) The date and time you accessed our site; and 3) The Internet address of the web site you used to link directly to our site.  This information is collected for statistical purposes. The PMOSIG uses software programs to create summary statistics, which are used for such purposes as assessing the number of visitors to the different sections of our site, what information is of most and least interest, determining technical design specifications, and identifying system performance or problem areas. Additionally, the PMOSIG uses software programs to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage.

 

In order to request additional information you may be required to submit personal information. If you identify yourself by sending a request to the PMOSIG, then the information collected will only be used to respond to your inquiry. This information will not be sold or otherwise transferred to unaffiliated third parties without your approval at the time of collection.  Unfortnately, no data transmission over the Internet can be 100 percent secured. Despite the best efforts of the PMOSIG to protect your personal information, the PMOSIG cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us, or to or from our online services or links to third party sites. If you send us an email you should know that email is not necessarily secure against interception.

 

Your access to some services and content is password protected. We recommend that you do not divulge your password to anyone. The PMOSIG will never ask you for your password in an unsolicited phone call or in an unsolicited email. You should not disclose your user name and password to others. In addition, if applicable, you should remember to sign out of your PMOSIG account or service at the end of each session. You may also wish to close your browser window when you have finished your work. This is to ensure that others cannot access your personal information and correspondence if you share a computer with someone else or are using a computer in a public place like a library.

 

The PMOSIG website may provide links to third-party websites for your convenience and information. If you access those links, you will leave the PMOSIG website. If there are updates to the terms of this Privacy Policy, we will post those changes and update the revision date listed on this document, so you will always know what information we collect online, how we use it, and what choices you have. For material changes to this Policy, the PMOSIG will provide notification to affected customers.
