PMOSIG Research Overview
As part of the PMOSIG's 2009 business plan and consistent with the PMOSIG vision to be a thought leader, the PMOSIG is actively working to establish a working research program to provide our members and the PMO community at large with new insights into issues facing the PMO and opportunities for organizations to advance their PMO. Beginning in June 2009, the PMOSIG will be working to establish key areas of focus for our initial research efforts and will be establishing a program management and benefits realization management approach to ensure that our efforts provide direct value to our PMOSIG members and other key stakeholders.
Research Partnership Opportunities
The PMOSIG seeks to partner with industry, academia, and other professional associations to conduct research in the areas of project/program management offices, portfolio management, and organizational governance, as well as other allied areas of interest to PMO leaders. Potential partnership opportunities may include, but are not limited to co-sponsoring research studies and providing support to undergraduate and graduate students pursuing research in areas of interest to the PMO community.
